Dr. G, as his patients call him, started his hearing career working for a hearing aid dispenser in Phoenix. After realizing there had to be some form of didactic education and theory behind the hearing system, he jumped into Audiology. He received his M.S. from Arizona State University, and 4 years later, his Au.D. from AT Still University, where he subsequently taught the Amplification course on site for the Au.D. students.
His leadership in Audiology began when he joined a licensure committee and quickly learned the struggles of our profession. He became the chair of the Arizona political action committee for audiology, and then ran, and was elected President of the Arizona Speech-Language-Hearing Association in 2006. He joined Audiology Clinic, Inc in Vancouver, WA in 2008, and then purchased it with his wife in 2012. Within 4 years, he and his wife had almost tripled their business, and decided to move back South for more sun! They sold the practice in 2017, and moved to Los Angeles, where Dr. Gosalia joined West Valley Hearing Center. Dr. Gosalia is board certified by the American Board of Audiology (ABA), and is a member of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). He served a 3-year term on the Board of Directors for the ABA in 2012-2015 and has served as Chair of the AAA Marketing sub-committee. He has received many awards, including the Audiology Foundation of America’s Professional Leadership Award, the Jack Vernon Crystal Award by the American Tinnitus Association (ATA), the AT Still Alumni Association Distinguished Service Award along with other local awards for working with many non-profits in Vancouver WA. He is passionate leader for audiology and is always looking to help audiologists grow!In 2009, she opened her private practice, Decibels Audiology, which she and her husband Mark built to 3 locations, dozens of employees and hundreds of headaches before gloriously cashing out/selling the practice in 2019. Following her “retirement” from clinical practice, April now runs Decibels 180, a consulting group for private practice owners, and its offshoot, AudBoss (a Facebook group for private practice owners).
Following their practice sale, April and her family relocated to the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, settling in the tiny town of Craftsbury in a log cabin on a 40 acre farm, which they have no idea how to run. They have two adorable children and one very fluffy Portuguese Water Dog, often chronicling their ridiculous adventures in their blog Ears, Cheers and New Frontiers.
Mark is a proud Eagle Scout and started his first business when he was just 16 years old, building computer networks for local businesses. During his early college years, he would take on projects for custom database design and programming. Following college, Mark worked as a Senior Level Network and Systems Engineer with a Southwest Florida business consulting firm. In 2006 he opened his second business, an Information Technology Consulting Company, that he later sold in 2012 after growing it to a multi-million dollar enterprise.
Soon after exiting the IT business, his exceedingly talented wife, April, identified a need in her own growing Audiology business for consulting, automation and process improvements. Together they structured Decibels Audiology for growth that developed exponentially over the course of the next 7 years. Mark contributed to these business endeavors by identifying opportunities for improvement through assessment processes, applying strategic planning, managing financial and backend systems, analytical synthesis of business data, and implementation of purposeful technology initiatives. Mark firmly believes that great teams are what make success in any business environment and enjoys facilitating personal development among team members toward shared organizational goals and benefits.
Since completing the sale of their industry-leading private practice in 2019, Mark has kept busy in his new rural New England home. When he isn’t applying his computer brain to thinking about Decibels 180 clients and business, he enjoys learning all the skills necessary to thrive in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont!
Dr. Phallon Doss graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas Woman’s University, and received her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of North Texas. Dr. Doss is the owner of Doss Audiology, a successful private practice with two locations in South Texas. In the past, she has participated in research with major hearing aid manufacturers on developing new hearing technology.
Dr. Doss is well versed in many areas audiology including electrophysiology in the surgical setting and cochlear implant mapping. She was named a San Antonio Business Journal 40 under 40 award winner in 2019 and a Healthcare Hero in 2017. Dr. Doss has also been featured in numerous publications including “O” the Oprah Magazine, Fortune Magazine, and Entrepreneur Magazine. Doss Audiology is a previous winner of the “Best Audiology Clinic in San Antonio” by Senior Resource Guide. Dr. Doss runs her practice with her husband, James, while raising two children under the age of 7.
Dr. Jessica Rhodes Dimmick is the President of Hearing Doctors of Iowa and Hearing Doctors of Illinois. A graduate of the University of Kansas Medical Center, Dr. Dimmick initially worked in a series of well-established private practices across the United States. Recognized as a leader in sales of hearing instruments, Dr. Dimmick pursued the dream of building her own private practice from the ground up. In the #49 ranked state for the number of female-owned businesses and a heavy competition market, Dr. Dimmick opened her doors in March 2017. Through absorption of databases and expansion into her home state of Illinois, by October 2019, Dr. Dimmick had grown her practice to 5 locations spanning 250 miles. The success she attributes in large part to diversified income strategies across hearing aid sales and service but also a strong diagnostic component of exams for Veterans in coordination with Federal government vendors. Since the conception of the practice in 2017, Dr. Dimmick has added 4 additional providers as well as support staff to develop the practice into a blend of urban and rural, private patient and VA, clinic with an eye on future endeavors to come.

Dr. Phillips has served on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Academy of Audiology and on various convention committees for the American Academy of Audiology as well as the Support Personnel Task Force. She is a founding sister of Women Unite, a group of women whose mission is to inspire, ignite, and assist other women achieve their potential in today’s professional setting. Dr. Phillips served on the Legacy Project Steering Committee and is a Global Ambassador Emeritus for Empowering A Billion Women by 2020 (EBW2020), a global initiative and movement to provide the tools, technology, and resources to empower women as leaders and successful entrepreneurs.
Dr. Phillips has experience developing early hearing detection programs in various hospitals throughout the state of Texas. Her work then took her to Southern California, where she collaborated with a neurotologist, taking over the practice of Dr. William House. She has participated in research within the field of audiology, including cochlear implants, tinnitus devices and a fully implantable hearing system. Dr. Phillips is particularly interested in tinnitus and has been providing tinnitus and sound sensitivity therapy options to patients for the past 18 years. In addition to seeing patients and being involved in research and on clinical advisory boards, she continues to pursue opportunities to participate in humanitarian audiology as well as believes in connecting with people both inside and outside of the hearing industry to be able to make a bigger impact in the world.
